Business Internet Providers in St Petersburg Florida: 6 Plans and Their Contract Terms

Business Internet Providers

Choosing business internet in St. Petersburg, Florida is not only about speed. The contract terms decide what you pay after the first year, what happens if you need to leave early, and how long a price stays fixed. Some providers ask for a one-year term in exchange for a lower rate and a price lock. Others sell month-to-month service, or lock the price for two or five years.

We compared six business plans that St. Pete companies can check today, with a focus on the terms behind each price. All prices and terms come from each provider’s own page, checked on October 2, 2026. Taxes, fees and equipment charges are extra unless we say otherwise.

How we built the short list

We kept providers that publish a business offer for Pinellas County or a national business plan page you can check by address. For each plan we read four things:

  1. Price and what it requires: term, AutoPay, a mobile line or a bundle.
  2. Price protection: how long the rate stays fixed.
  3. Exit terms: contract length, trial or guarantee periods.
  4. Extras: installation, equipment, backup and static IP options.

1. WOW! Business Internet: a one-year term with a price lock

WOW! Business serves customers throughout Pinellas County, including Downtown St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park, Palm Harbor and Dunedin. Its Pinellas business internet provider page lists 600 Mbps from $65.99 a month, or 1.2 Gig for $5 a month more.

Plans

  • Internet up to 300 Mbps: light use, up to 5 connected devices
  • Internet up to 600 Mbps: moderate use, up to 10 connected devices
  • Internet up to 1.2 Gig: heavy use, up to 15 connected devices

Contract terms

  • Term: the advertised price applies when you sign up for 300 Mbps or more for a 1-year term. Prices may vary in some markets and do not include taxes, fees or equipment charges.
  • Price-lock guarantee: WOW! says it will not increase your rate within your contract period.
  • 60-day satisfaction guarantee: exclusions apply.

What is included

On plans of 300 Mbps and above, WOW! lists a free modem for 3 months, free installation and a $10 monthly discount when you bundle phone service. You can use a WOW! modem or your own compatible DOCSIS modem. WOW! also offers 24/7 U.S.-based support, states 99% network reliability, and sells Whole-Business WiFi (starting with 2 eero devices), Wireless Internet Backup and Static IP as add-ons.

Choose WOW! when you want a clear one-year agreement with a rate that stays the same for the full term, plus a 60-day window to make sure the service works for your business.

2. Frontier Business Fiber 1 Gig: a two-year price lock

Frontier, now part of Verizon, sells fiber business internet with a 2-year price lock on all new Business Fiber Internet plans and bundles.

Prices (with a qualifying Verizon Business mobile plan and bank AutoPay, for 24 months)

  • Business Fiber 500M: $29.99 a month
  • Business Fiber 1 Gig: $49.99 a month
  • Business Fiber 2 Gig: $69.99 a month
  • Business Fiber 5 Gig: $99.99 a month

The mobile-plan discount is $20 a month, so prices are $20 higher without a qualifying Verizon Business mobile plan.

Contract terms and fees

  • The price guarantee covers the base monthly rate only.
  • AutoPay with a bank account is required for the listed price. With a credit card AutoPay you pay $5 a month more, and without AutoPay $10 a month more.
  • A $50 activation fee may apply, and installation fees may apply.
  • Equipment must be returned when you cancel. A $50 restocking fee per account may apply, and a fee of up to $500 per device applies if equipment is not returned.
  • Unlimited data with no overage charges.

Choose Frontier when you want fiber and a fixed price for two years, especially if you already use Verizon Business mobile lines.

3. Spectrum Business Internet 500: a low online price

Spectrum Business Internet 500 is $50 a month as an online-only offer. Spectrum also lists 750 Mbps for $95 and 1 Gig for $115, with bundle savings of up to $25 a month and a 3-year price guarantee available.

Contract terms and fees

  • The offer is for qualified new business customers. Standard rates apply after the promo period or if qualifying services are not kept.
  • A $10 monthly charge applies without AutoPay and a $5 monthly fee applies without paperless billing.
  • Installation is charged separately.
  • Spectrum offers a contract buyout of up to $1,000 in early termination fees when you install 2 or more services (excluding mobile).

Backup option

Spectrum’s Wireless Internet Backup supports up to 4 devices with download speeds up to 10 Mbps and an 8-hour battery backup. Static IP and Business WiFi do not work while the backup is in use.

Choose Spectrum when a low starting price matters most. Ask for the standard rate in writing before you order, because the page does not publish it.

4. T-Mobile 5G Business Internet: one price for five years

T-Mobile 5G Business Internet costs $50 a month, with one price for five years (exclusions like taxes and fees apply). T-Mobile also lists a Small Business Grow plan starting at $35 a month.

Contract terms

  • Price guarantee: five years on the monthly price.
  • Switching help: T-Mobile offers up to $800 for early termination fees and switching costs from your current provider.
  • Setup: self-install, with professional installation available.

Because the service runs over the 5G cellular network, speeds can change with local conditions. Many businesses use it as a backup line, or as a fast option for a new site.

Choose T-Mobile when you want a long price guarantee and help leaving an older contract.

5. IQ Fiber Business 1 Gig: no contract, flat price

IQ Fiber has launched fiber internet service in Pinellas County. Its business plans are:

  • 1 Gig: $150 a month, with wall-to-wall managed WiFi, a WiFi management app, basic internet security and professional installation
  • 5 Gig: $250 a month, with dedicated WiFi networks and up to 5 static IPs included

Contract terms

IQ Fiber advertises no contract and no installation or service fees, with one flat monthly price. It offers symmetrical fiber speeds and 24/7 support. For guaranteed speeds or SLAs, IQ Fiber points businesses to its Dedicated Internet Access service instead.

Choose IQ Fiber when you want fiber without a term commitment and your address is in its build area.

6. Starlink Business: a monthly satellite backup

Starlink Business service starts at $55 a month. Starlink offers monthly contracts and a 30-day trial with a full refund if you are not satisfied.

What the Priority plans add

Priority plan customers get network priority, 24/7 prioritized support, a publicly routable IPv4 address and a Service Level Agreement. You can adjust your data by adding blocks of 50 GB or 500 GB.

Choose Starlink as a backup path that does not depend on local poles or cell towers, which can help during hurricane season.

How to compare contract terms

1. Confirm availability at your exact address

Enter your full street address, including the suite number, in each provider’s checker. Coverage can change from one building to the next.

2. Calculate the cost over the full term

Multiply the monthly price by the months in the term, then add installation, equipment and any monthly fees for skipping AutoPay or paperless billing. If a page does not show the price after the promo, ask for it in writing.

3. Read the price-protection wording

A “price lock” can mean different things. WOW! says it will not raise your rate within your contract period. Frontier locks the base rate for two years. T-Mobile offers one price for five years. Note what each lock covers and what it leaves out.

4. Know your exit options

Check the term length, the early termination rules and any trial or guarantee period. A 30-day or 60-day guarantee gives you time to test the service before you are committed.

5. Separate marketing reliability from a real SLA

A reliability percentage on a sales page is not the same as a signed service-level agreement with credits. If downtime costs you money, ask for the SLA terms or look at dedicated internet access.

6. Plan a backup that survives the failure you fear

Pair a wired line (cable or fiber) with a wireless or satellite backup that follows a different path. Put your modem, router and backup gateway on a UPS, and test failover so payment systems and VPNs keep working.

FAQ

Which St. Petersburg business providers offer no-contract service?

IQ Fiber advertises no contract, and Starlink offers monthly contracts. WOW!’s advertised price needs a 1-year term.

Which plan has the longest price guarantee?

T-Mobile 5G Business Internet offers one price for five years. Frontier locks its fiber prices for two years, and Spectrum offers a 3-year price guarantee with qualifying bundles.

Is WOW! Business Internet in Pinellas cable or fiber?

The Pinellas plans (300 Mbps, 600 Mbps and 1.2 Gig) are cable plans that use a DOCSIS modem. Ask WOW! Business about its separate fiber products for your address.

What does WOW!’s price lock cover?

WOW! says it will not increase your rate within your contract period, which is a 1-year term for the advertised price.

If an outage is only an inconvenience, a business broadband plan with a backup line is often enough. If every minute of downtime costs money, ask for a credit-backed SLA or dedicated internet access.

Conclusion

The best business internet deal in St. Petersburg depends on the terms as much as the price. WOW! Business pairs a one-year term with a rate that will not rise during the contract and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Frontier and T-Mobile lock prices for two and five years, Spectrum has a low online starting price, IQ Fiber offers no-contract fiber, and Starlink adds a monthly backup path. Confirm availability at your suite, compare the full-term cost and read each lock carefully.
